1963 VW Split Bus for sale in Canoga Park

Asking $19,950, this is a very complete bus that is a great prospect for a complete restoration or a daily driver as is. Last year of the small rear window. It has the rare double door option on both driver and passenger side. It has the ambulance fan and is a walk thru. This bus started out as a delivery panel and the original owner had the local VW dealer add the louvered glass windows to each side immediately upon purchase. I just installed new Oak panels to the interior. The electrical has been upgraded to a 12 volt system. It has the original Sapphire XV am radio that works. Gas gauge and fuel gauge both work. All lights work including the interior cabin lights. It has been repainted once and it's not the original color. The interior maintains the original color and has not been repainted.

Bought it from the second owner who is a mechanic. He was the mechanic for the original owner. He rebuilt the 1600 single port engine after the first 100,000 miles. He rebuilt it again in 2004 and only put 2000 miles on it since. I drove it sixty five miles from Lincoln City, OR to Dundee, OR at an average speed of 55mph and got it up to 62mph and it drove smooth and without any issues.

It has minor (surface) rust issues but nothing too severe or not easily remedied. The worst being a hole on the underside beneath the passenger side double door.
