Very Solid Splitwindow Bus!

Body is very straight with almost no rust , there is a bit see photos of front floors and cargo floors. battery tray is also solid.

Interior dash is nice and not cut, Interior has panels , front seats, cockpit seat, table and back seats

Previous owner was a daily driver, it was parked a couple years when I purchased but battery, fresh oil and gas and it fired right up, havent done much of anything since, will need brakes service to get on the road

I purchased this Bus a while back for obvious reasons of being extremely solid and original for a splitwindow these days, I got caught up with a few other projects and never got around to this one but whoever gets this I think will be very happy,

I own a part of history... This Transporter was shipped new to Tokyo... then to Europe Then Woodstock...then California... If you search Glinda VW Transporter there are 8 viral videos about this Bus.... It has its original Beads that spell out Glinda... Safari factory equipped.. factory heater...Factory hand crank bus etc... The bus sat in New Mexico where the original hippies ended up then current hippie documented it and restored for an OG adventure over the Rockies to California... I have decided to sell it as is...it was running when it was parked 4 years ago... all lights work starter needs to be replaced... I do not have time for it.. but don't care if i keep it also.... I have it titled here in California... possible trade up or down high end truck suv here are videos of it from a few years ago...

1965 volkswagen microbus deluxe is in good shape for a 52 year old bus with mostly factory paint and nice patina, seats have been redone with original material, however headliner and door panels are still original.
Rebuilt 1600 dual port engine with less than 2k miles, Drive train reconditioned with new bearings on reduction boxes and transmission. New brake lines, wheel bearings and cylinders, master cylinder and shoes, with turned drums,
Suspension; New tie rods, direction damper, king pins, shocks, also new white wall tires.

California registration with black black plates. Vellvet Green and Pearl White Westy has traveled the west coast from border to border throughout her life. Owned for many years by po and ppo who lived in Seatlle. Character plus. Recently purchased and driven from Seattle to San Diego. It is outfitted with a complete So42 Westphalia camper kit for a non-walk thur 11 window Volkswagen Bus. Large elephant ear mirrors. Completely out fitted with new Baltic Burch panels throughout camper and cab. An original floor with table mount to secure table leg base and back hatch internal latch.

Acquired in the process of removing three layers of paint on top of the original Velvet Green and Pearl White. Taken down to the original paint, this is factory Non- Walkthru 11 Window Bus with black front seats, 12 volt electrics, un-cut dash with period in-dash radio. Six complete Jalousie with screens, correct outer and inner trim. Five 14 inche rims with AT 2s. Daily driver.

The SO42 interior is complete with original non-walk thur jumpseat, original spice rack, original ice box with drip pan and rack, original folding tables, headbanger cabinet, original Z bed, closet and what not cabnet for drivers side rear cabnet. Original to period curtains mounted with the original curtain rods. Front compartment has curtain tracks for front passenger, driver and front windows for privacy. 1600cc engine, stock reduction box transaxle, 12 volt. Yakama Industries luggage rack, circa 1970s. This Single Cab has lived and worked in Southern California its entire life. I purchased it from the 2nd owner, who had owned it since 1980. I spent the last year and a half restoring/preserving this rare Bus back to its original, unmolested glory. It is fully functional and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. This would make a great addition to any VW collection. Cruise it to the beach, the shows or a campout.
